We are pleased to announce that Najad have appointed Hans Johansson as chairman of the board for Najad.

Najad’s owners have appointed Hans Johansson as chairman of the board for Najad. He takes over the position from Stuart Lawson on the 1st October 2010, who will remain on the board as an ordinary board member.

Hans Johansson is 55 and lives on Tjörn in Bohuslän, Western Sweden.

He has a solid background as a mechanical engineer, entrepreneur, manager, CEO, chairman and board member of listed and unlisted companies.

He is an energetic entrepreneur with a strong ability for leading and developing companies and businesses.

His knowledge and experience from product development and assignments in the marine industry with Sportmanship AB, Nimbus Boats AB and Safe at sea AB, will be useful as Najad intends to develop.

He loves the great outdoors and is very strongly committed to sailing.

His list of achievements includes sail-racing and yachting, with an Atlantic crossing and rounding Cape Horn to his credit.

Stuart Lawson, chairman of Najad, says:

His gift for entrepreneurship and proven ability to lead in prosperity and adversity while creating winning corporate cultures, are needed in the challenge of developing Najad and its products. He will also be one of the shareholders in the company.”

Najad will celebrate its 40 anniversary in the coming season and faces the future with a strong board and management team with high ambitions for greater growth and better profitability in an expanding market.
